What this project is about

Broceries is a lightweight grocery and household inventory app that recommends personalized shopping lists based on a user's history and current needs. It tracks item availability at home, warns when stock is running low or approaching expiration, and uses CoreLocation to help users find nearby stores and markets. The experience extends across Apple devices, including Apple Watch, while keeping personal inventory data securely on-device.

Challenge

Household inventory changes frequently and is difficult to track without adding friction to everyday routines.
Shopping recommendations needed to reflect both purchase history and the user's current stock levels.
Low-stock, expiration, location, and cross-device features had to feel useful without making the app heavy or intrusive.

Solution

Created a personalized shopping-list flow informed by item history and household needs.
Built inventory tracking for item availability, stock levels, and expiration dates.
Added local notifications for products that are running low or nearing expiration.
Used CoreLocation for nearby store discovery and extended essential information to Apple Watch.
