What this project is about

Orenji is an iOS basketball training app built with SwiftUI and Vision to evaluate shooting posture from a live camera feed or recorded video. It analyzes important body angles across the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, then translates the results into immediate visual and haptic guidance. Apple Watch support keeps posture status visible on the user's wrist and provides a tap whenever their form needs correction.

Challenge

Basketball players often need immediate, understandable feedback to correct shooting form during practice.
Raw pose landmarks and joint angles had to be translated into useful posture guidance instead of overwhelming technical data.
Camera analysis, interface updates, haptics, and Apple Watch feedback needed to work together with minimal interruption.

Solution

Used Vision pose detection to analyze shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee angles from live or recorded footage.
Designed a real-time SwiftUI feedback layer that clearly communicates posture status and areas for correction.
Added haptic cues so players can react without continuously watching the screen.
Extended posture status and correction alerts to Apple Watch for more accessible feedback during training.
